Editorial
At February 21st 2005 the FozIber Editions
complete five years of existence. Apparently the Yhonathannah team pulled out
wavering but that strategy continues and shall continue in order to be able to
accumulate stocks of the maximum of styles of texts, images and music of the
different fields of the knowledge.
During the year 2000, Chinese Year of the Dragon,
the FozIber appeared with the vocational guidance of a page for the
Spirituality with the Home Page at the URL http://foziber1.no.sapo.pt.
Looking at this page we can observe above the mentioned strategy but
behind was, and is, the Philosophy of Religions the union of all.
At September 4 of 2004 we have created a new Home Page with the URL http://foziber.no.sapo.pt with the
title Literature and Arts of Religion. Apparently the web had made a
detour, but it wasn’t.
The first home page changes into a regular page like the other of our
pages that are added to the new home page; anyway, and for us, the oldest home
page is really the second bigger exponent of our web pages.
We displayed,
then, in the Editorial of the current Home Page:
«Literature and Arts of Religion must
walk side by side for a more complete power of analysis of
deep aspects from the view point of the inherent rationality to the documents
entitled as Sacred. In reality, at our page, the Religion and the Art will
appear independent one of the other but, for our strategy,
we will notice the correlation between these two fields.
If we observe, there are a deep gap,
even absence, in that it concerns to the Literature of Religions... But that
is, however, “natural" because Theology, such as, Sociology, Anthropology and
History of Religions have dealt with the Religions in the substance of the
spirit of the religion only and this is already a lot, analysing the reasons,
the symbologies, the ritualístics
in the inner of religion but keeping and recovering material than to create fix
boundaries in the existing investigative
structures. Which is absolutely usual because the fields of
knowledge that we mention are very recent.
But recent is not Theology, which killed us
the taste for all the sacred book analysis from a pure literary point of view,
using all the methodology that Literature by side with Philology stands.
Is not our intention any quarrel with
Theologies even because they have endlessly wealthy texts whose profundity,
argumentation and analysis are unarguable. But let’s give Literature the way to
analyse the sacred documents as literary documents, as they are.»
We are going to follow this path and now that our team is growing like
never we have many more conditions to a fast increasement.
We thank to all that sent us their texts, comments, questions and all
kind of remarks as the future ones that will appear in the spirit of this Web
Page. All constructive critics are welcome and please help us to develop
FozIber because this challenger task has many difficulties.
The Yhonathannah team promises you that all the arrived material will be
published under your wanted name but if only the author wants to be published.
